Approved technical concept
The machines which are built on a conventional cast iron base with a travelling table assure the highest rigidity and precision. The grinding spindle with hydrodynamic bearings together with the hydrodynamic table guide ways guarantee the necessary dampening for best surface finish results. The grinding head, which travels on pre-loaded linear roller guide ways, is designed with a stationary guide way cover. This type of cover eliminates the notorious weak point of most cylindrical grinding machines – the covering of the x-axis. All axes are driven by high-precision ball screws and position feed back via absolute glass scales.
The work head is equipped with a dead centre and a belt driven rotating face plate. The tail stock sleeve is guided in pre-loaded ball bushings and has a clamping force as well as a cylindricity adjustment.
Extensive accessories inclusive
The series MSO-G and MSO-S are in principle quoted with all accessories necessary to grind. The machines are controlled by a Siemens 840 D, which offers endless programming possibilities. The hydraulic unit, the chiller for the grinding spindle or the manual wheel changing device are all standard accessories.
Optionally wheel balancers and measuring systems as well as coolant units and mist extractors can be integrated into the machine.
Simple operation
Due to the application of the MSO HMI (Human Machine Interface), which consequently uses graphically supported parameter input, the MSO machines are fast and easy to handle.
Even complex contours can quickly be programmed or corrected.
